Muir Beach to Pirate Cove with lunch at Pelican Inn

We did a hike from Muir Beach to Pirate Cove with lunch at Pelican Inn

It’s a great Pacific Coast Trail with many walkers, runners, dogs, and even bikers in the beginning. The hike is magical (not easy) with tiny Sutro tower at the end. Amazing views of the coast with ups and downs trail to the cove. We didn’t go all the way since it’s pretty steep and the tide is high. We meet a girl that was doing 100 miles along the way with Pacific coast trail runs. She says you can start with any mile that you feel comfortable and work your way up. It’s worth check it out.

Pelican Inn is inspired by English countryside. The building reminds me of Ireland airbnb. I had fish and salad and Paul had a proper pint and French dip. It’s probably the only restaurant around the area. Service was ok. I think next time we will just bring our own sandwich and have drink here on the lawn since we really liked the atmosphere.
