Visit San Francisco's TWO Mosaic Stairways

We start our hike at Golden Gate Heights Park... It's a park without much tourist and many tree lined areas.
Then we hike through neighborhood of SF to 16th Ave Tiled Steps. From the top, you can view pacific ocean over looking sunset neighborhood.
When you walked down, and look up, you can see the gorgeous mosaic tiled steps made by artists Aileen Barr and Colette Crutcher.
Don't forget to walk all the way up to Grand View Park to view 360 degree view SF including downtown and ocean views.

Then we walked to Hidden Garden Steps... passing through beautiful gardens

By this time, we were getting hungry, so we walked to Sang Tung
Of course there is a line... we waited 40 minutes and finally got a seat.

Their chicken wings were yummy!!!

4 days in Okinawa

Over 900 miles from Tokyo and Hong Kong, 300 miles north of Taiwan, Okinawa is a tropical island with beautiful beaches and history of Ryukyu Kingdom.

Our highlights included

1. Loisir Hotel
Welcome drink is shikuwasa juice, onsen and awesome breakfast every morning.

2. Capsule Hotel in Japan.... I was fascinated with the photos online, naturally I had to pay a quick visit in person. Not bad for $10 a night, you can crash in this pad, take a shower in the morning, drink coffee, and move on to the next destination.

3. Shuri Castle, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, dates back to 14th century, explore the grounds and the interior. The architecture and decorative elements is Ryukyu style. Unfortunately few days after we return from our trip, fire destroyed the main part of the castle. We were lucky to have been there and see the part of history before it got burned down.

4. Jack's Steak House
Great steak in Naha, Okinawa. Be aware there is always a line of people.

5. Taste of Okinawa Cooking experience.
It's here we learned about Okinawa soba is different than Japanese soba and other traditional foods of Okinawa such as as awamori (sugar cane liquor) Bonus: we shopped and walked Makishi market

6. MariKart

7. Owl Cafe

8. Hidden Castle Ruins Hike

9. Beach in Okinawa
