If I had to write a book about food, it would be "The way to EAT," obviously you can tell I like to eat more than I like to cook. However, I've been cooking for my family for all these years.
I watch shows like "chopped", read books from the library and was given to me. read food blogs and follow them. Still, I rather eat than cook...I am thankful that there is restaurants, take outs, grandma's house, and facebook to eat when I don't cook. I will start to document my journey on food so that I can remember in the future what I ate. I cooked Spaghetti with Fresh Soppressata yesterday. Today, I had my almond milk tea and piece of bread for breakfast, facebook for lunch so far.

Mexico cruise and L.A. trip
Mexico cruise was a memorable trip! Thanks to Ying-i for arrange it. It was a family reunion. We had 35 people attended the cruise.
Carnival Paradise: Long beach to Ensenada and back. Total 3 nights 4 days. The most memorable part is when we had the room all to ourselves. There was a slide show of pictures. We all tell stories of all we immigrated to United States. Every family has a story. Afterwards we played white elephant game.
The cousins bonded really well. It's always fun to see them interact :)
After the cruise, Paul went back home and we spent time with Mom and Dad
Mom loves to garden and Dad loves to play piano.
I learned to make soy milk and smoothie all over again :)
The highlight of L.A. trip is 85 C bakery. Yum! Love it.

Scouting for food
Three boys scouts from troop 37 leaves door hangers about 1 week before scouting for food.
They had maps that told them which houses to cover in their area.
They walked around the neighborhood putting door hangers at the door.
Today, 1 week later, despite the rain. They have collected lots of food.
It was exciting watching them going back to the same route and see bags out in front of the door.
At first, they were running all over to collect food. And put them in the back of the car.
Then they had to knock on the door. The amazing part is that people actually open the door and give them food :)

Finally we went back to LACY and the guys put all the foods in totes
Weight them and put them in the truck and we were done for the day. It was nice to see how giving people are.

Sleepover at Carolyn's
Since the kids were off 2 days of school including Veterans' Day, we had a sleepover at Carolyn's :)
Mikey greets us as soon as we arrive. He is so adorable!
The kids immediately bonded and started to play games.
For dinner, we had korean ribs, broccoli, and potatoes
We chatted and that night we watched "Mean Girls"
The next day, we decided to skip breakfast and go have Sushi Buffet!
We ate lots of sushi
Afterwards, we took a group picture. The kids have grown over the years,Alvin is taller than the girls now.
Then we headed to mall. Girls shopped and boys went to game stop and Barnes and Noble.
I had a passion lemonade green tea
Then we went to laser tag.
Here we are waiting..... They had fun shooting and score :)
For dinner, we decided to cut up a huge winter melon that was given to Carolyn.
And we made winter melon and meatball soup :)
And Jeannie's fried rice.
While we cooked, the kids kept themselves busy...
Packed...
Say goodbye to Carolyn's house... including the girl statue..
Good bye! We will be back.
