Los Gatos Creek Trail

I went biking with Amie and Anne at Los Gatos Creek Trail today :)
We meet behind Pharmaca, then bike toward Vasona Park.
Vasona Park has it's usual suspects... duck, lake and bridge.
We bike back and all the way to the base of lexington den.
We worked up an appetite and had lunch at Andale Mexican Rest.
Chili Verde.. deeelish
And fish taco.. Yummmm

After lunch, we did some shopping and said goodbye.

Stopped by Marina to buy groceries and couldn't resist to have a lemon honey green tea at Tapioca Express

Came home and was ready for snack: Matcha tea with ginger cookie and grape tomatoes.
So colorful

After Chang tai do, I made this awesome dinner. Ravioli with veggie sauce (mushroom, celery, carrots, and onion with tomato sauce)
with strawberry banana smoothie.
And we had hummus with toasted pita bread as appetizer. That was my day.

Los Angeles

I took the kids down to L.A. for a few days.  We took SW airlines.  We had 1 hour delay due to the fog...
The plane finally arrives..
I did some origami on the plane :)

After we arrive, we had beef noodle soup...

Then Dale picked us up to look at some condos..

This one is my favorite

Then we had dinner together with the whole family.  Cousins had fun together.
Mom's food and soup
Dessert from Gary and I
The next day, Dale picked up up and look some more condos
Afterwards we went to Din Tai Fung Dumpling House
The food tasted almost like Taiwan :)
Went to bakery afterwards..
After I left for L.A. The kids had fun going to Ice skate
And Monica had a make over :)
It was a fun trip!

Mission Peak Regional Preserve

On a cool day like today, it is suggested good time to hike up to the top of Mission Peak.  We stopped by Dakao sandwich before heading to Mission Peak.
This is what I saw...

It's uphill all the way... this is what we look like before..
and after... very windy at the top as you can see....
I'm so proud of both of us... there were times we thought we weren't going to make it.
The reward... Vietnamese sandwich

and peets vanilla latte (I was freezing and needed some warm drink :)

Sakoon

Paul and I tried to go to Sakoon twice and both times they were too busy.

Since the kids are in L.A. tonight, we decided to give another try.  Third time is a charm :)  This place has nice ambience.  an upscale indian restaurant.  We ordered 2 appetizers and I think they are the best.
Scallops
Marinated in smoked paprika, served with mango and white bean salsa, cilantro, mint pistou
Tandoori Agaaz
A combination of Chicken Tikka, Tandoor shrimp and lamp chop.
The entrees pictures didn't turn out well...  still, here is what we ordered
Seabass Tikka
Seabass prepared in Madras marinade and coconut, served with okra pachdi and asparagus rice pilaf- nice!
Saag Pasand Se
Spinach and mustard greens prepared with potatoe and corn served with traditional maka ki roti and butter- very healthy
We ordered a glass wine to share and finish our dinner with milk tea at Verde :) Good nite!

Happy Valentines Day

Paul surprise me today by having flower deliver to my work!
After work, I did a take out at California Cafe.
They were busy due to Valentine's day.  The waiter gives me a free drink while I waited......
I ordered
Steak Diane- filet mignon, rapini, pee wee potatoes, cognac demi
Cocoa dusted Scallops- almond beurre blanc, celery root puree, sauteed asparagus tips.
I added Caesar salad, chicken soup, my tandoori chicken fried rice, and orange juice on top of that.

And also last but not least... dessert, Fresh berry tart by Whole Foods to complete our meal.
