London
Day1
We arrived in London on a wet day. Check into our airbnb
near soho.
Then we took the Underground/Tube
to Columbia Flower Market at East
End.
and visit a cute little café called Lily Vanilli and came back to rest.
At night, we went to Chinatown to have dinner at Dumpling’s
legend.
Day 2
This morning, we ran 2.5 miles around soho neighborhood.
Then We took the tube to Facebook for breakfast.
Then we went to King’s Cross station and wait
in line for Platform 9 ¾.
Afterwards, we
walked to British Museum, had scone and tea.
Then We went to have lunch at an indian restaurnatn at Brick
Lane.
Afterwards Monica shopped at Old Spitalfields Market.
We had fish and chips for dinner.
Day 3
We took the tube to London Eye. Walked to Big Ben and
Westminster Houses of Parliament while Paul wait in line for the Eye. We then
went up to the London Eye.
Afterwards we took the boat to St. Paul’s Cathedral.
Had snack at Paul, then we head toward Tower
Bridge.
Then we went to Borough Market for some more delicious food.
While Monica went to have dinner with friends, we visited
M&M had at Japanese for dinner.
Day 4
We took a tour to the historic Windsor Castle, Baths, and
Stonehenge.
Windsor Castle is the largest and oldest castle residence in
the world,
we saw the state apartments and the changing of the guards.
Then we
visit town of Baths. It is a spa town that locals come and enjoy.
Stonehenge
was just amazing to look at. It’s HUGE!
Day 5
This morning we had breakfast at Flat White, then we went to
Trafalgar Square
and visit National Gallery’s masterpieces. Then we went to
Covent Garden to have light lunch.
We had Afternoon Tea.
Watched Jersey Boys at night.
Day 6
Leave London to Paris via EuroStar. It was an easy ride
through chunnel
Paris
Day1
Check into our hotel. Had the most delicious Italian meal.
Day2: The Louvre
Today we explore Jardin des Tuileries. Then we got on the
tour of the Louvre.
We saw Mona Lisa, Winged Victory, Venus de Milo and hundreds
more.
Afterwards we had lunch at Café Comedy.
They have the best
croquet monsieur.
Then we went to check out Pont des Arts bridge and saw “love
locks” removed.
During the summer, Paris has beach along side of Seine
River.
We walked to Notre Dame.
Took the metro back to hotel and
had Com Viet for dinner.
Day 3
The kids saw Eiffel Tower for the first time.
It was a “wow” moment, then we climb up to the 2nd
level. Then Timothy wanted to go all the way to the top. So we did!
We walked down and walked to a café where Pauline meets
Monica. After lunch, we
visited Parc duChamp de Mars. It was a hot day, people still
picnic on the lawn.
I saw wall of peace.
Walked to the Carrousel and got the
photo I wanted J
Came back hotel and had dinner at Japanese/Chinese
restaurant.
Day 4: Montmartre
This morning we hop on the Metro, then hike up Montmartre to
tour the colorful neighborhood which is an artist heaven (century ago, Van
Gogh, Picasso, and Renoir have all been here). We saw Sacre-Coeur.
Then the spectacular views of
Paris from the Sacre-Coeur Basilica.
Had
crepes and gelato. Then took the Metro to Arc de triomphe.
We walked around
Champs-Elysees find a nice place to have a French lunch.
Then we walked to buy
some Laudree macrones
and had dessert at Fauchon. I had the best Millie-feuille
ever.
That night, Paul and I visited Luxembourg Gardens.
A
beautiful place to relax and wind down the trip.
